When a small snowball rolls from the top of the hill, slowly and gradually it becomes so big that it can affect the spectator down the hill, in a way our life is the same as a rolling snowball.
Our habits also work on the principle of the snowball effect,
in a few days it seems nothing changes, but slowly and gradually we would be
able to see its drastic changes, it's also called the compounding effect of
habits.
We have always noticed it when the snowball becomes too big,
but if you look at the beginning, there lies all the learning and solutions to
serious problems.
But how to get a positive big snowball in life?
1. Identify which habit or idea is good for your goals!
It might be the gym for some or learning latte art, there is always something to learn and grow.
2. Do it for 5 days!
Just easy and simple 5 days to follow that idea or habit, and just do it, focus on execution and pick only 1 habit to conquer first. Those 5 days' goal is to just rewire your brain to come into that state of mind. Moreover, at this point, you will make the small snowball roll from the top of the hill, better than doing nothing.
3. Now, what after 5 days?
If you, do it for 5 days, now aim for 21 days, but why not 21 days in Step no. 2? Because it's double digits and it would be like 3 weeks, damn! You will declare yourself a loser without beginning your journey. Take a paper, write down 1 to 21, and cut as the days pass and you achieve your goal.
4. After 21 days!
Now your brain is changed (Brain plasticity)
neurologically you could do that with more compassion, just a quick tip. Now
focusing on what not to do. I mean your old habits, list them down, and try to
avoid them at any cost.
I hope this article will help you build a basic
understanding of working of the brain!
